Information we collect

When you use the site. Our servers and hosting platform record standard technical information about each request, such as the IP address it came from, the browser or client (user agent), the page requested, and the time. We use this to operate the service, keep it secure, and understand overall usage.

The message you create. The details you enter in the form are sent to our AI provider to generate your message. We do not require an account, and we do not build a profile of you.

When you buy a message. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe processes it. From a completed purchase we receive and store your name, email address, the amount, and a transaction reference, which we use to deliver your message and receipt.

How we use your information

• Generate the message you request
• Process your payment through Stripe
• Email you a copy of your message and your receipt
• Operate, secure, and improve the service, and prevent abuse
• Meet legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf, each only to the extent needed to perform its function:

• Stripe for payment processing
• Twilio SendGrid for email delivery
• Microsoft Azure for hosting and server-side diagnostics (Application Insights), which does not track you across sites
• An AI inference provider to generate your message from the details you submit

We may also disclose information if required by law. These services are governed by their respective privacy policies.

Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to generate and deliver the message you bought), our legitimate interests (securing the service and preventing abuse), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

Data retention

Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and analytics and are then aggregated or removed. Purchase records are kept for as long as we are legally required to keep financial records.

How we protect your information

• Encryption of data in transit
• Restricted access to any stored data
• Payment handling delegated entirely to Stripe

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at support@myscribe.net. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Cookies

MyScribe uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

International transfers

Our service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
